    2:46 Garrett is putting the C Ring (open gap) onto Teller's finger. Garrett has to keep applying pressure to close the opening gap, so Teller will "feel" like it's a standard ring. When Garrett releases his grip on the ring, the ring springs open for easy removal off of Teller's finger. Once the C Ring comes off, he hands Teller the solid ring and palms or pockets the C Ring.

    He is using 2 rings, one real and one that is openable. 3:00 right hand palm has the real one and fingers remove the openable from finger. Then after the removal, the openable moves to left hand at 3:05, the real one is presented while the openable is in the left hand palm and from there into the pocket at 3:12.

    2 rings. One is a prep and the other is the real ring. Great sleight of hand.

    There's got to be a clever ring switch scenario so Teller is inspecting a normal ring and the ring at the end can truthfully be said to be normal. You slipped round them with semantics and were lucky in how Penn phrased his analysis. Dropping the ring was quick thinking. Well done!

  • @duanekimball

    THAT ring at the end is normal, the other ring he had was a gimmick ring

    A simple trick and really well executed. But because of it's simplicity, using Occams Razor mentality, the ring must come apart. That is the only way it's possible.

    It has to be a gimmicks ring. Watched in slomo and he covers it up everytime he move it and you can hear what sounds like to magnets clicking together

    Absolutely SENSATIONAL! I’m especially intrigued by and love magic (and puzzles) which use the absolute bare minimum number of props to produce amazing effects. One simply cannot get more uncomplicated than using but one ring, your fingers and the fingers of another person. Unbelievable closeup magic. This was probably one of the best effects I’ve ever seen.

    One of a few tricks on the show that really make you feel like the only explanation is REAL wizardry/magic because the sleight of hand is so impossible to see/understand

    Did he lied to them ? Because if you slow down the video and pause at around 3:08 you can clearly see a gap in the ring around his finger. So the ring is clearly a gimmick.

  • @MrWongle
    @MrWongle 20 днів тому

    The commenters on here are a bit strange. When Penn says it is just sleight of hand, he knows there are 2 'rings'. One of them has a gap and 1 doesn't. They know what was done, they just don't know when it was done. The skill in this trick isn't moving the ring off the finger, it is how he swaps the rings without you seeing. A 'simple' trick done masterfully.

  • @Pizzasalladland
    @Pizzasalladland 20 днів тому

    so at 2:51 you see 2 rings in his hand, one solid in the palm of the hand and one twistable ring on Tellers index finger makeing it easy to move from finger to finger.These rings was popular in the 1990s. And at the en he lied at the end. You did not fool us..

    Why is it so no it didn’t go apart I was so happy I love finding good magic tricks as you’re a kid is a very higher rate and then it’s lower and lower and lower and then I actually was so into it. I studied at magic and some other things if you can do with cards all the lawyer absolute freaking mind the way they can cut the deck so perfectly like there’s a person that can literally take a brand new Jack that’s an order and he can do it very very quickly shuffle the deck in five different ways very very quickly, and then Hanyu, the deck, and the deck will be all back in the exact same order as when you open that originally. there’s another guy that knows how to do a shuffling truck with a brand new deck so they’re all in order a shuffle is it like four times and all of a sudden all the leases are on top. It’s not magic it’s just insane control of the cards I’ve seen guys do weird things or they set the card up in the air 10 feet and I had to come back down in their hand in a fan note card display and send out cards. He catches the spinning part of it he just flung in the air from the deck is really remarkable it’s more than magic in the appointments aspect at spectacle. I know a lot a little lighter load magic I know every check I see I have a guess about what kind of way they would’ve won about it and watching the show on usually pretty good but everyone’s in a while when you’re completely fooled it’s a cool feeling when you’re like wow that was 10 out of 10 unfortunately I’ve seen a couple of 10 to 10 words just what I just said a word purely sleight-of-hand and just very very good control and manipulation I want to like Street performers. Circus acts were there doing absolutely amazing things that need mastered if the hundred and thousand times it’s only three or four tracks but the practice so much that nobody else can do them and if they were to start practising for a couple weeks they would not be able to do it all the way every single time again, I am basketball players and basketball players not playing for six months, his 99 out of 100 score a problem going down to 8Nine.

    yeah, you fooled me too. i was like certain that this is a gimmick. and i would also applaud if that ring was a gimmick, because it would be a REALLY solid tech and also still a VERY solid slight of hand performance. but its not the ring. so... honstely, i have no clue.
